# Create apps that manage files with OneDrive

> Let visitors view, browse, and upload files directly to OneDrive from your Zite app.

## How it works

Connecting OneDrive to your Zite app lets visitors view and search files in your OneDrive folders, and upload files without needing access to your Microsoft account. This enables you to:

* Display files and folders from OneDrive directly in your Zite app
* Let users upload files from your app and store them in OneDrive
* Organize and manage files based on app actions or workflows
* Trigger notifications automatically when specific events occur

## How to manage files

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect to OneDrive">
    In the chat box, request your app to be integrated with OneDrive or click the `plug icon` <Icon icon="plug" />.

## Common use cases

By connecting OneDrive, you can easily build apps for things like:

* **Client portals:** Allow customers to view and download project files
* **Recruitment flows:** Collect resumes and documents for hiring teams to review
* **Education apps:** Let students submit assignments and access course materials
* **Insurance claims:** Collect claim forms, receipts, and supporting documents for review
* **Internal resource hubs:** Give teams access to searchable file libraries without needing direct Microsoft access
