# Plans & limits
> Understand workspace allowances for each plan and how limits apply to your organization.
## How many workspaces you can have
Because each workspace is its own database, your plan sets how many workspaces your organization can create. The apps and forms inside a workspace are not limited.

**The workspaces you already have keep working exactly as they do now**, even if you are over your plan's number — nothing is deleted, locked, or downgraded. The limit applies to creating a new workspace. If you are over the limit, you cannot create another one until you are back under it or you upgrade.
Migrating a [classic workspace](/help/platform/workspaces/migrate-your-workspaces#classic-vs-new-workspaces) app is not blocked by the workspace limit.
Deleting a workspace frees its slot immediately, so you can move a project to the trash and create another one right away.
Organizations with an active paid Zite or Fillout plan when workspace limits took effect on September 15, 2026 keep 2x their plan's workspace limit for the lifetime of that subscription.
