How it works
Granola creates meeting notes and transcripts. Connect it to build meeting dashboards and customer handover tools. Your app uses the access provided by your Granola key, without each visitor connecting an account. With this integration, you can:- List recent meetings
- Read AI summaries and the owner’s private notes
- Show attendees and meeting times
- Read meeting transcripts
- Find meetings updated since a chosen time
How to integrate Granola into your app
1
Connect to Granola
Ask Zite to connect Granola, or click + in the chat box, select Integrations, then choose Granola. Create an API key in the Granola desktop app and paste it into API Key. Granola requires a Business or Enterprise plan for this access.
2
Describe your use case
Tell Zite which meetings and details to show. For example, “Show recent customer meetings with summaries, attendees, and a button to open each transcript.”
3
Test and publish
Compare a sample summary and transcript with Granola. Test which meetings each app role can open, including private notes.Click Publish in the upper right corner when the workflow works as expected.
Common use cases
With Granola, you can create apps like:- Meeting Dashboards: Browse recent meetings and summaries.
- Client Handover Tools: Review past customer conversations.
- Transcript Viewers: Read meeting transcripts in one place.
- Meeting Recaps: Show summaries alongside project records.
Important notes
- Read-only: The connection reads meetings, notes, and transcripts. It cannot create, edit, or delete Granola notes.
- Private notes: Meeting details can include the owner’s private notes. Decide whether to show these and restrict access accordingly.
- Key access: A personal key can see the user’s own and shared notes; a workspace key can see the workspace’s public notes.
- Recent meetings: A meeting may still be processing. If it is not ready, try again later.
- Long transcripts: Ask Zite to load long transcripts in parts if opening the whole meeting fails.
- Updates: Connecting does not automatically bring new meetings into Zite. Specify when your app should check for new or changed meetings.
